Wish for 2008 – wise ways to a healthy soul

December 31, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Anger is a condition in which The tongue works faster than the mind .

You can’t change the past, but you can ruin the present By worrying over the future!

Love…and you shall be loved.

God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.

All people smile in the same language.

Everyone needs to be loved… especially when they do not deserve it.

The real measure of a man’s wealth is what he has invested in eternity.

Laughter is God’s sunshine.

Everyone has beauty but not everyone sees it.

It’s important for parents to live the same things they teach.

Thank God for what you have, TRUST GOD for what you need.

If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow,
you have no today to be thankful for.

Man looks at outward appearance but the Lord looks within.

The choice you make today will usually affect tomorrow.

Take time to laugh, for it is the music of the soul.

Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears.

Love is strengthened by working through conflicts together.

Harsh words break no bones but they do break hearts..

To get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it.

We take for granted the things that we should be giving thanks for.

Love is the only thing that can be divided without being diminished.

Happiness is enhanced by others but does not depend upon others.

For every minute you are angry with someone, you lose 60 seconds of happiness
that you can never get back.

Do what you can, for who you can, with what you have, and where you are.

Have a successful and blessed 2008!

cheers,
BobbyWan

December 27, 2007 · Leave a Comment

One day a father gets out of work and on his way home he suddenly remembers that it’s his daughter’s birthday.

He pulls over to a toy shop and asks the salesperson, “How much for one of those Barbies in the display window?”

The salesperson answers, “Which one do you mean, sir?    We have:

1. Work Out Barbie for $19.95
2. Shopping Barbie for $19.95
3. Beach Barbie for $19.95
4. Disco Barbie for $19.95
5. Ballerina Barbie for $19.95
6. Astronaut Barbie for $19.95
7. Skater Barbie for $19.95 &
8. Divorced Barbie for $265.95

The amazed father asks: “You what?! Why is the Divorced Barbie $265.95 and the others only $19.95?”

The annoyed salesperson rolls her eyes, sighs, and answers:

Sir…, “Divorced Barbie comes with: Ken’s Car, Ken’s House, Ken’s Boat, Ken’s Furniture, Ken’s Computer and… One of Ken’s Friends.cheers,

Do You Notice The Difference?

December 24, 2007 · Leave a Comment

WHO ARE YOU?

“Success is about who you are, not what you have. Successful people work to discover their talents, to develop those talents, and then to use those talents to benefit others as well as themselves.”     -Tom Morris

NOW ASK YOURSELF ………

“If I concentrate on getting good at _____, what could I be like in a year? What could my whole life look like?”

When you go from being a self-centered, lazy, depressed person, like I was for over 20 years, to someone who lives 180 degrees in the opposite direction, you find it happens by changing your definition of what life means.

We were all given different gifts and different interests. If you are trying to start a business, for example, and you’re doing it because you want to make a lot of money, you’ll probably fail. If you answer a biz-op ad in a magazine and the one you choose is mostly because of a low investment, you’ll probably fail again.

The only way you’ll ever feel great inside your own skin and become successful at anything, especially in business, is if you decide to become of service to others. Period.

Watch others closely. You’ll find, as I have, that one of the biggest problems we humans have with one another is the lack of a desire to help out, to give a hand to someone who needs it. People who never jump in to help clean up or offer their help are universally despised.

Recently, I saw a movie I hadn’t seen in years that is the epitome of what life’s all about. The movie is ‘Ground Hog Day.’ Bill Murray plays an egotistical, selfish weather man who travels to eastern PA every Feb. 2nd to see if “Punxatawney Phil” will see his shadow or not.

He and his crew have to stay overnight due to a snowstorm.

And in a seemingly cruel twist of fate, he wakes up the next day to find it’s Feb. 2nd… again. This happens day after day after day. He’s in groundhog hell imprisoned to relive the same day forever.

After a while he kills himself… only to be awakened at the same time each morning by his alarm clock playing Sonny & Cher. He kills himself again. Same result.

Everyone else is living as if it’s Groundhog Day for the first time. He’s the only one reliving it. The same people greet him at the same moment in the same place… if he is there, too. The only difference is how he reacts. He gets to see how he changes the outcome of the day for him and everyone else…over and over.

Soon, he changes his tune and starts helping each person where they have a challenge; saves a kid from a fall, performs a Heimlich, fixes a flat tire, etc. He finds that he retains his skills from the “previous” day. So he learns about everyone’s likes and dislikes, learns how to play piano, make ice sculptures and learns about the object of his affections.

Through trial and error, he works to make each day a masterpiece. Each day, as it progresses, he learns that the way he viewed life was wrong… that he could have a great life if he just helped others.

People loved him… every day.

As the “days” went by, he learned about life. No lesson did he miss. All it took was awareness on his part.

Remember, at first it seemed like hell to him. Then as he grew in skill and in character, the woman he adored loved him back… even though she couldn’t stand him before.

The first time I saw this movie, I missed the moral. I was too busy being entertained. It IS funny.

But just like in “real” life, as you’re laughing and crying and living, there are lessons. If you don’t notice them, you’re doomed to never learn and will repeat the same mistakes… over and over.

Any problem you have has a solution. You just need to find it. But you must look for it. To begin, start taking an interest in other people instead of just yourself. Help out everywhere you can.

YOU WILL BE AMAZED.

As if by magic you’ll learn faster, your relationships will improve, your job will be more fun, money will probably cease to be a problem… in short everything will be better for you.

Tomorrow your clock will wake you at the same time as yesterday.

Make that day and every day a masterpiece…

And be patient. Live just today. Tomorrow will come…tomorrow. Learn what you must to prepare for tomorrow.

You’ll get what you want. But you must first become what you need to become to get it. Stop with the excuses.

Start today.

cheers to a Wonderful 2007!

How heavy is your burden?

December 21, 2007 · Leave a Comment

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management. He raised a glass of water and asked the audience, “How heavy do you think this glass of water is?

The students’ answers ranged from 20g to 500gm.

“It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it is Ok. If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you will have to call an ambulance. It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”

“If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on, the burden becoming increasingly heavier. What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up. We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on.”

So before you return home from work tonite, put the burden of work down.

Don’t carry it back home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you are having now on your shoulders, let it down for a moment if you can. Pick it up again later when you have rested….

cheers,

BobbyWan

THE 10 THINGS in LIFE YOU CONTROL

December 16, 2007 · Leave a Comment

There are just a few aspects of life that we can truly control, and it’s useful to know just what those areas are. If you don’t know, you’ll spend a lot of time blaming others for your own failings. Try and exert too much control in areas you shouldn’t and the universe will create some interesting ways to remind of your place.

So be prepared an learn the 10 things in life that you DO control:

1. What you do.

Your actions are yours alone. You choose to make them or not make them and you are responsible for the effects of those actions.

2. What you say.

Likewise, the words you speak (or write) are also consciously chosen. Like actions, they have an impact on your life and the lives of those you contact.

3. What you think.

Yes, there are some subconscious thoughts that you can’t control. But the things that you really think about, your beliefs, your ideals, etc. are concepts you have chosen to accept and believe in.

4. Your work.

Many people like are all things you can control, although some to a lesser degree (i.e., you decide to tolerate them or move someplace else).

8. Your fiscal situation.

Having or not having enough money is a factor of what you make versus what you spend.

9. Your time.

You choose how to “spend” your time and how much of your time to give to various activities. You’ll never get more time than the 24 hours your given each day.

10. Your legacy.

All your actions, words, and knowledge that you share while you are living become the gift that you leave when you are gone.

cheers,

To Be or To Do – Part 1

December 16, 2007 · Leave a Comment

While searching for messages relating to The Science of Getting Rich from various sites, I come across the following message which I find it complimentary to most self-help books and personal development courses which we have attended. This is a two part series and I will post the second part a few days later.

We are human BEING not human DOING. But most of us spend time to DO more than to BE. Life is a choice to be or to do, it is all up to each being to choose. Let me explain it more clearer…..

When we want/desire something in our live, We got 2 choices to get what we want. That’s to DO or to BE to get what we want.

(1) Most human being (95%) choose the way to accomplish/get their desires by DOING e.g.. If we want to get rich, so we normally just think about it and figure it out how to get rich or finding the right business or ideas or whatsoever to achieve our desire to get rich. From there we just use our energy by DOING in order to achieve/get rich. Our energy is one with Fear energy. Our doing is MOTIVATED with feeling of Fear. We hope that someway or somehow we will experience/get rich in the end. We spend most of our time by doing or working hard or struggling or manipulating or forcing, and we hope that the more we do it the more we will get what we want. We experience more problem and obstacle and hardship along the way. As our energy is in fear energy so we always attract only fear/bad energy in the form of people, situations, opportunities that match to our energy of fear.

Sometimes, we success and get what we want but we spend a lot of time, money and energy to get it. We may lost our health from working so hard or we don’t get inner satisfaction or happiness or peace that we expect to get from being rich.

Sometimes, we don’t success, so we think may be we need to work harder and harder and harder or finding the strategies or techniques by our limited conscious mind to get what we want. And what is that we want? Getting rich. Thats we called “working harder, not smarter.”

(2) Few human being (5%) choose the way to accomplish/get their desires by BEING. e.g.. If we want to get rich, we just think about it and imagine about it and feel about it for a while until we feel inner satisfaction of what is being/feeling like to be rich?. From there the energy urge/intuition/instinct within guide us to DO whatever that is to get/achieve our desire. Our doing is one with Love energy. Our Doing is INSPIRED with the energy of love; excitement, enthusiasm, joy, …. We always attract the love/good energy in the form of people, situation or opportunities. It seems many opportunities is opening up.

Everything seems in the right place and the right time. It seems we are in a lucky zone. So everything we do seem flowing with easily, effortlessly, joyously and successfully while we are on the way to get rich. That is called “working smarter, not harder”

Most successful business and world athletics always use BEING first to achieve their desire by visualization or inner energy work out before they start to Do whatever to achieve their goals.

What is different between the BEING or DOING?
The one who is BEING first is the one who is working out the inner energy so their vibrations is ONE with LOVE energy (flow with the creative power of universe). They do things later and their energy of doing flowing from being already achieved.

But the one who is DOING first is the one who is using energy in reverse from the flow of power of universe. They do things from the energy of hoping or leading to the state of being that they want to achieve.

Everything is a choice. Which choice we want to make depend on the answer of these questions….

Do we want to live life smarter or harder?

Let me sum up in one sentence if we want to live life intelligently and smartly on this planet earth:-)

Whatever ye want/desire, seek ye first in the kingdom of god (within) and all these things shall be added unto you (without)

Have a great weekend, stay tuned for Part 2 soon..

cheers, Bobby Wan

What is the Universal Law of Attraction?

December 13, 2007 · Leave a Comment

The Universal Law of Attraction states: We attract whatever we choose to give our attention to–whether wanted or unwanted.

This Law is Universal because it does not matter who you are, where you live, what your religious beliefs are, what year you were born…the Law is true for everyone equally. It is as true as the Law of Gravity.

Most of the time, we attract by “default” rather than by deliberate choice.

We just sort of go through our day, focusing on problems that need to be solved or on things that did not feel good nor seem right. In so doing, we are actually creating more problems, more of what does not feel good and more of what does not seem right.

Think of yourself as a huge magnet. The kind that pulls metal to itself from afar off. It doesn’t “try” to attract, it simply does attract. It is the same way for us. Whether or not we are trying to attract, we ARE doing so all the time. (Except when we are asleep.) And we attract the likeness of what we think about. If we are thinking about a lack of something, we are attracting more lack (scarcity). If we are thinking about something we love, we are attracting more of what we love and enjoy. I know it sounds incredibly simple, and it is.

We humans are actually very powerful attractors and we can use this wonderful, god-given power to attract more of what we want in life-simply by paying attention to where we place our thoughts and desires.

An old proverb just came to my mind: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7 It’s interesting that the writer of this proverb says “thinks in his heart” because most of the time, we think that we think with our mind. However, it is truly from the heart where we do our thinking, our believing, our “vibrating”.

It is from the heart that we attract. Picture your heart as a powerful magnet. The heart is the “vibrator” of all signals that attract.Think of a radio. It has many different stations. To tune into a station you dial a specific frequency. As soon as we turn our attention to something (dialed it’s frequency) it begins its journey to us.

To be rid of something you do not want in your life, simply tune in to a different vibration (frequency or radio station)–to something that you do want.

I see the Art of Deliberate Attraction as consisting of three parts:

1. Getting very clear about what it is I am wanting 2. Raising my vibration until it matches what I want 3. Allowing what I want to come to me

We have the opportunity to gain clarity in knowing precisely what we want, through the many “contrasts” that life offers us. The key to successfully using contrast is to observe it briefly and use it to help you decided what you do want. This takes a little practice, since our habit is to talk about, tell others about and focus on what we did not like.

It is usually part three that trips me up. I have held onto some self-limiting beliefs for a very long time-so long that I no longer recognize them, yet they are still vibrating below the surface, canceling out what I am wanting.

My “work” is to let go of all resistance and believe that what I am wanting will come to me–simply because I want it.

The Magic of Making Mistakes

December 2, 2007 · Leave a Comment

My real dad came from the world of academics, a world where mistakes are perceived as bad and to be avoided. My rich dad came from the streets. To him, mistakes were opportunities to learn something new, something he did not know before.Street Smart Versus School Smart

My rich dad was very successful financially for many reasons. At the top of the list was his attitude towards making mistakes. Like most of us, he hated making them, yet he was not afraid of making them.

Each time he made a mistake, instead of being depressed, he often seemed happier, wiser, more determined, and often richer from the experience. He would say to his son and me, “Mistakes are how we learn. Every time I make a mistake, I always learn something about myself, I learn something new, and I often meet new people I would never have met.”

As I watched my real dad struggle financially and professionally, my rich dad said, “To be successful in the real world of business, you have to be school smart as well as street smart. In school, you’re given the lesson first. On the street, you’re given the mistake first and then it’s up to you to find the lesson.

Since most people have not been taught how to make mistakes and learn from them, they either avoid mistakes altogether, which is a bigger mistake, or they make a mistake but fail to find the lesson from the mistake. That is why you see so many people making the same mistake over and over again.”

Rich dad said, “I am so rich because I’ve made more financial mistakes than most people. Each time I made a mistake, I learned something new. In the business world, that something new is often called ‘experience’. But experience is not enough. If a person truly learns from a mistake, his or her life changes forever, and what that person gains instead of experience is ‘wisdom’.”

The Art of Making a Mistake

Rich Dad taught us the art of making a mistake and gaining wisdom from it.

“The first thing that happens after you make a mistake is that you become upset. At this point of upset, you find out who you really are,” he said, going on to describe the cast of characters who are brought to centre stage when upsets from mistakes occur:

  #The Liar. “I didn’t do that.”

#The Blamer. “It’s your fault, not mine.”

#The Justifier. “Well, I don’t have a good education so that is why I don’t get ahead.”

#The Quitter. “I told you that it would never work.”

#The Denier. “No, there is nothing wrong. Things are fine.”

#Rich Dad said, “If you want to learn and gain wisdom from this priceless mistake, you have to let ‘The Responsible You’ eventually take control of your thinking.”

Mental Attitude Quiz

What are your attitudes to risk, making mistakes, and learning?

What are the attitudes of the people around you to risk, making mistakes, and learning?

Are there still some financial, professional, or business upsets that remain unresolved?

Are you still angry with some-one else in regards to money?

And if you are upset with someone else or yourself, what lesson can you learn and be grateful for being courageous enough to have taken a risk and maybe learned something?

cheers,
BobbyWan
